Job Description:

Cochon is seeking a motivated and professional Host to join our team! As a key member of our dining room staff, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and make eye contact, using their names when possible
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and front door area
• Answer phone calls and take reservations in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with various administrative tasks, such as mailing and filing
• Ensure efficient seating of guests according to company standards
• Communicate clearly and politely with guests regarding delays and waits
• Verify menu and wine list availability and present them to guests
• Provide a quality assurance experience by presenting menus and inviting guests to enjoy their meal
• Provide reservation counts and update management on special requests and events
• Engage management in addressing guest issues or complaints
• Inform servers and management of special requests and celebrations
• Direct guests to their tables at a comfortable pace
• Check bathrooms regularly and restock supplies as needed Requirements:
  • 1+ year of host and/or restaurant experience in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to work in an organized and professional manner
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Quick thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
