NURSE PRACTITIONERJob Summary:Give back to our nation's Veterans! Practitioners will be in a clinic setting to provide one-time Physical Health Assessments to active-duty military personnel & Compensation and Pension evaluations to Veterans, which includes reviewing the PHA form, Functional Capacity Certificate, and any medical records the Service Member brings to the event. Practitioners will also interview Service Members to provide additional details as to the status of current and past medical issues, and a very brief focused exam based on the claim may be required. Practitioners provide focused assessments, review diagnostics, and provide documentation on the 2766 in Service Members medical record.Job Duties:Provides C&P (Compensation & Pension) services to claimants including but not limited to taking health histories, performing assessments, diagnostic testing.Utilizes application of assessment and evaluation in formulating medical diagnoses and opinions.Prepares timely, legible, and complete documentation of all claimant care as provided by law, regulation, and established policy.Demonstrates an awareness of and sensitivity to claimant rights.Applies safety principles as identified by established policy.Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to claimant confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities.Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with claimants, families, and other healthcare professionals.Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in claimant flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality, timeliness, and customer service.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.Minimum QualificationsNurse Practitioner / Physician AssistantMasters Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited programBoard CertificationAn active and unrestricted NP/PA license in the state in which exams are performed.2 years minimum experience as NP/PAClay Consulting, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and affords equal opportunity to all qualified applicants for all positions without regard to protected veteran status, qualified individuals with disabilities and all individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age or any other status protected under local, state or federal laws.Equal Opportunity Employer - Minorities/Females/Disabled/VeteransClay Consulting offers a fast-paced team atmosphere with competitive benefits.NOTE:This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements for the Medical Assistant position.
