Job Description:
A company is looking for a Health Information Management Coder
Senior-Medical Coding.
Key Responsibilities
Assign codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures according to
ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines
Extract and abstract required information from source documentation
into electronic medical record systems
Meet or exceed a coding accuracy rate of 95% and productivity
standards
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Completion of an accredited Baccalaureate in Health Informatics or
Health Information Management, or an AHIMA approved Coding
Certificate Program preferred
3-5 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting
preferred
At least one certification required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA from
AHIMA)
