Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a local contract nurse RN Home
Health for a local contract nursing job in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements
Contract Details:--
Location: Baton Rouge, LA--
Company: Sunbelt Staffing
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possible extension upon successful
start and completion)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with
occasional weekends and on-call duty (typically one weekend per
month on-call)
Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and territory
budget
Mileage Reimbursement: 0.48c per mile from patient home to home
Blended Pay Packages: Available for travelers
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k match after 90 days
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments using OASIS, documenting all
findings with accuracy and ensuring compliance with agency
standards.
Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely
with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare
professionals.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide skilled
nursing care, including wound care and other treatments.
Educate patients and their families on care plans, medication
management, and healthy practices to promote wellness and patient
independence.
Maintain accurate patient records in Homecare Homebase (HCHB),
ensuring timely and compliant documentation.
Travel to patient homes within the Baton Rouge, LA area, using
reliable transportation.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to ensure
coordinated and effective patient care.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
Louisiana.--
Minimum of 1 year of home health experience.
Proficiency in OASIS and Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification.
Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
Ability to meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon
offer.
Important Note Due to this being a contract opportunity with
limited training and orientation time, only candidates with prior
home health experience and proficiency in OASIS and Homecare
Homebase will be considered. We appreciate your understanding.
