• ASCP - Pathology Assistant
• Various certifications are required for different specialties, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, and more. Each certification has its own specific requirements and time frames for renewal or verification.
  • Job Details
  • Under the supervision of the Pathologists, this job performs gross examination of surgical specimens and assists the Pathologists in all areas except for consultation and reporting of specimens; maintains confidentiality of patient related information.
  • 5+ years of experience at grossing complex Cases and some experience as a preceptor.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Two-year acceptable training program (Medical school training, such as a non-U.S. Medical School may be considered equivalent upon review)

    • Required experience: 5+ years of experience at grossing complex Cases and some experience as a preceptor.
    • Required Licensures: ASCP - Pathology Assistant MUST HAVE - DO NOT SUB WITHOUT
    • Epic experience preferred
    • Education Required - Master's degree as Pathologist's Assistant, or graduate form of an accredited program
      • Additional Details
      • Additional certifications may be required for certain specialties within nursing.
      • License verification, certifications, and health requirements must be up to date.
