value for our clients through creativity.As the Director of Brand
Strategy, you will be our strategy partner to both clients and
partner agencies, taking a leadership role across planning,
activation, and insights. We are looking for a Strategy Director
who will work on our telecom client as well as build and lead a
growing team of brand strategists. You will work on both client and
new business, as well as special growth projects for the agency's
brand. You will ensure that all strategic initiatives in your
portfolio "work" by contributing to the strategic process through
outstanding brief generation; research design, implementation and
analysis; intelligence support, etc .This individual reports to our
SVP, Head of Strategy:Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery process using the agency's proprietary
model(s) - uncovering and documenting consumer, customer,
competitive and client insights.
- Apply, develop and conduct different primary research
techniques to garner and unearth insights that spark the creative
process (in concert with our Intelligence Division, client internal
research teams, third party providers/tools, or solo as needs
dictate)
- Create inspiring, relevant creative briefs and translate
insight into ideas and subsequent management of idea across all
media.
- Excellent execution of creative strategy projects - brief
writing to presentation to inspiring creative briefings, accounting
for all consumer funnel needs
- In concert with Analytics, Media and Intelligence teams,
evaluate the effects of the campaign in the marketplace and
recommend optimization.
- Closely collaborate within departments and external agencies
and teams to ensure that strategies are inclusive of all
disciplines and realized across all functions.
- Build strong client relationships along with the core client
team(s)
- Manage and develop team members that are assigned/report to
you.
- New Business and agency marketing duties as assigned.Knowledge
- A strong command of consumer understanding in developing
insights that enable success.
- A thorough understanding of the competitive landscape as it
pertains to creative work, brand tone, channel choices, use of
media and ideas within the category (and any analogous
categories)

- Bachelor's degree in related field of study
- 8+ years in advertising as a planner at top creative agencies
- Some mix of top creative agency and client-side considered
- Some past work in a highly-regulated industry a plus
- Association with award-winning work a plus
- An inspiring portfolio of demonstrated work and thinking
- 2+ years of management experience
- If out of market, relocation to New Orleans metro area within a
